tonight my dad finally switched the bulbs in my lights,
transforming the dimly lit white room
into a yellow luminance,
intensifying the colour of every photo,
soaring through the sky and into my lungs,
breathing in the wonders of the world around me..
in and out.
the lights were on.
i smiled.
