i feel like in the summer, you just broke.
every piece of you fell to the ground
and you just watched people step over the pieces
letting them completely crush you..
and then you taped the pieces back together
but they’re not the same.

i miss when you would have fun,
remember those times you would laugh for hours at nothing?
life was completely free when you didn’t care what people thought.
art and the ability to express yourself was more important than boys.
randomness was always there.
being able to laugh at yourself made you you.
you were more shy for a reason..

and now,
you’re more known for being able to flirt than being able to draw..
you care most about your skirt going with your shirt.
you actually had people in your life that were cool.
you’re so caught up in being sixteen..
what happened to the real you?
