(via artpixie)Hurriedly, he ran down the darkened street; the street lights out. The stars his only light. He was crushed. His feet cut through the fog like a knife. Tears clung to his eyelids, not daring to take a stroll down his cheeks. Inhaling a deep breath of cool summer air and exhaling, he calmed himself. He turned around only to realize what we was running from had caught up to him and the few lone tears rushed down his face, crashing to the ground. He wiped his eyes and could taste the salt on his lips. He stopped and sat down on the closet patch of grass. Inhaling. Exhaling. His eyes squeezed tightly shut and his head backed down into the bed of grass. The boy’s face stung. His mind was aloft in the stars; the pain sunk. He zipped up his sweater, feeling comforted from the protection; hidden. He sighed; but let it all escape. And that felt okay. He felt a tear coming, but wiped it before it fully formed. It was okay. He exhaled once. The stars shone down onto him, exposing his fragile body..  The moonlight pierced into his skin and he felt it all pass through his body, streaming through his body escaping into the sky through the tips of his fingernails. He was unsure of the events to come, but at this moment in time, it was gone and he was okay. Relief. And in that exact moment the street light turned on.
